Despot’s Game is a role-playing game with a real-time tactical strategy element. Pixelated 2D graphics do not provide a high quality gameplay, but allow you to think through the strategies of upcoming battles. The main feature of the gameplay is the inability to control your squad after the start of the level. Fighters will automatically make their way through underground caves and fight to the death against terrible monsters, battles with which will take the lives of many brave heroes. Correctly place the soldiers on the battlefield in order to provide them with the most efficient passage of the location.
The plot of Despot’s Game takes place in a fantasy world inhabited by magical creatures and terrible monsters. A group of brave adventurers is trapped in deep water after an unsuccessful attempt to explore an ancient dungeon. Now desperate heroes are ready to make the final breakthrough of the monsters’ defense, hoping to find a way out of the dark labyrinth and get hold of magical artifacts. Found mutations allow you to make fighters stronger, giving them unique abilities and increasing physical characteristics.
The player can equip the squad with purchased or found items, weapons and equipment. At some levels, you have to fight against special opponents – huge bosses with high area damage and a serious supply of health, against which you will have to use all available forces in order to win. The mod for full version and everything open give players access to all the game content, for which they would otherwise have to pay real money to developers.
